Infectiology

Our gastroenterology IFA portfolio provides specialized in vitro diagnostic assays for the serological investigation of celiac disease. The assays detect disease-associated antibodies against endomysium (EmA), tissue transglutaminase (tTG), and deamidated gliadin (DG).

Conventional tissue-based immunofluorescence assays use monkey esophagus sections for the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of endomysial antibodies. The CytoBead® CeliAK technology combines tissue sections with antigen-coated fluorescent beads, enabling simultaneous assessment of EmA, anti-tTG, and anti-DG antibodies, along with an integrated IgA control, on a single slide.

The portfolio includes assays for manual processing and evaluation as well as formats compatible with automated imaging and software-supported result assessment on the akiron® NEO.
