GA Generic Assays GmbH
Company Profile
GA Generic Assays GmbH, established in 2002 by Professor Dr. Dirk Roggenbuck, is an independent family company that focuses primarily on products for the differential diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. Hence, we provide solutions to the challenges faced in this diagnostic field by ensuring optimal product quality and actively engaging in the development of innovative products in new relevant areas.
Located in Ludwig-Erhard-Ring 3, 15827 Dahlewitz, south of Berlin, GA Generic Assays is a continuously growing company in the domestic and international diagnostic markets, with innovation and quality being of prime importance, without neglecting cost-effectiveness. Our new developments are often carried out in cooperation with academic institutions or routine laboratories e.g. Charité Berlin, Technical University of Dresden, Technical University Brandenburg or with foreign partners.
In 2005, our innovative product, Anti-Ganglioside Dot, for the diagnosis of polyneuropathy, won a technology transfer prize from the Land Brandenburg. In 2010, we were honoured by the IHK Potsdam with the Innovation Award for the identification of the main antigen Glycoprotein 2 (GP2), for the differential diagnosis of Crohn’s disease.
Our newest development is the CytoBead® Technology – a revolutionary combination of cell-based immunofluorescence, for screening, and antigen coated microparticles, for differentiation and confirmation of antibody specificity. Through this one-step method of serum testing, in comparison to the currently used two-step process, a completely new organization of the medical laboratory process is made possible.
Together with the sister company, Medipan GmbH, today GA Generic Assays, being active in over 70 countries, is an innovative and world-renowned partner for medical laboratories, physicians, medical institutes and research centres in the manufacture of manual detection test kits and automated systems in the following areas:
ELISA | Radioimmunoassay | Immunofluorescence assays | Lateral flow | Line/Dot assays
The target conditions include:
Thyroid diseases | Type 1 diabetes | Rheumatoid arthritis | Polyendocrinopathies | Neuropathies | Vasculitis/Nephritis | Gastroenterology | Autoimmune hepatitis | Anti phospholipid syndrome | Complement system | Progressive systemic sclerosis | Atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome | Pancreatitis | Systemic rheumatic inflammatory diseases | Celiac diseases | Crohn’s diseases | Myasthenia gravis |
Public funding
Many new developments of GA Generic Assays are supported by public funding. The innovative capabilities of GA Generic Assays can thus be fully exploited and contribute to the growth of the company, especially in recent years.
