Infectiology

Automated Assays for akiron® NEO

Our IFA tests for celiac disease for automated imaging and evaluation with the akiron® NEO combine well-known indirect immunofluorescence techniques with standard digital analysis.The portfolio includes both a tissue-based assay and a multiparametric assay based on CytoBead® Technology.

The tissue-based assay uses monkey esophagus tissue sections for the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of antibodies against endomysium. The multiparametric assay combines monkey esophagus sections with fluorescent beads coated with specific antigens. This enables the combined assessment of endomysial antibodies, anti-tTG, anti-DG, and IgA status on a single slide.

Following manual or automated assay processing, the akiron® NEO performs automated digital imaging and software-supported evaluation of the processed slides.
