2024-09 / Recap of the German Rheumatology Congress 2024 in Düsseldorf!

September 18-21, 2024 | Congress Center Düsseldorf | Düsseldorf, Deutschland

Introduction

Medipan & GA Generic Assays showcased the akiron® NEO at the German Rheumatology Congress 2024 (DGRh) in Düsseldorf, emphasizing AI-driven diagnostics for autoimmune diseases.

From September 18-21, 2024, we participated in the German Rheumatology Congress at the Congress Center Düsseldorf in collaboration with medac. The congress provided a leading platform for presenting advancements in immunological therapies and exploring the growing role of artificial intelligence in healthcare diagnostics.

akiron® NEO Live Demonstrations

Visitors explored medac Booth #S60, where Dr. Jawaid Ahmad Baig, Head of Sales Germany/Regional Director International Sales, presented the akiron® NEO in live demonstrations. This compact benchtop IFA analyzer automates digital imaging of immunofluorescence slides. It provides rapid, objective ANA, ANCA, and CLIFT pattern recognition. Its AI-based software evaluates fluorescence intensity in approximately 35 seconds, improving laboratory efficiency and diagnostic accuracy.

Demonstrations also highlighted the system’s user-friendly interface and seamless workflow integration. Attendees could directly compare traditional manual analysis with AI-assisted digital interpretation, gaining a clear understanding of the time savings and consistency offered by the akiron® NEO.

Networking and Knowledge Sharing

The congress offered numerous networking opportunities with clinicians, researchers, and industry experts. Attendees learned how AI-powered systems like the akiron® NEO streamline laboratory workflows, support clinical decision-making, and improve patient care. Live demonstrations allowed participants to experience firsthand the ease of use and accuracy of the system, reinforcing its value for modern autoimmune diagnostics.

Future Perspectives

We thank all visitors who engaged with our team and attended presentations. Feedback collected during the congress will help guide future developments and enhancements of the akiron® NEO. We look forward to continuing conversations, exploring new diagnostic solutions, and expanding the impact of AI-driven immunofluorescence diagnostics in laboratories worldwide.
