This is an event announcement for the "2024 Innovationsforum MikroRNA". On the left side, against a dark gray background, there is text that reads: 2024,INNOVATIONSFORUM MikroRNA. A teal-colored, arrow-shaped graphic separates the text from a black-and-white photo on the right. The photo shows an elderly man from behind, holding a walking stick in one hand and a shopping bag in the other. He is wearing a hat and a jacket. In the top right corner, another teal-colored element contains the words "CME-Punkte beantragt" which translates to "CME points applied for."

2024-09 / MicroRNA innovation forum: New approaches in Alzheimer’s diagnostics

September 5, 2024 | CCO Auditorium, Virchowweg 6, 10117 Berlin, Germany

NeuroMiR will organize the MicroRNA Innovation Forum on September 5, 2024, at the CCO Auditorium in Berlin. This event provides an important platform to showcase groundbreaking advances in the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, with a special focus on Alzheimer’s disease. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research, innovative diagnostic tools, and future possibilities in this rapidly evolving field.

About NeuroMiR

NeuroMiR is a consortium of leading research institutions and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) dedicated to improving the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases. The consortium focuses on measuring specific microRNAs alongside protein markers in patient blood samples. This approach offers the potential to significantly enhance early diagnosis and improve treatment outcomes. By combining these molecular insights, NeuroMiR aims to provide a more accurate and timely understanding of disease progression.

Medipan & GA Generic Assays will contribute to this important project taking the consortium coordination. Moreover, as part of the project, we will develop a microscopy platform with associated software and we will be working on an assay for the detection of classic biomarkers in combination with microRNA markers for neurodegenerative diseases. The aim is to enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis in order to better counteract the degenerative course of the diseases.
