Sie geh\u00f6rt zu den h\u00e4ufigsten Autoimmunerkrankungen weltweit. MB entsteht, wenn das Immunsystem Antik\u00f6rper gegen den Thyreotropin-Rezeptor (TSHR) produziert, sogenannte TSH-Rezeptor-Autoantik\u00f6rper (TRAK). Diese binden an den TSHR und aktivieren ihn, was zu einer \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfigen Produktion von Schilddr\u00fcsenhormonen f\u00fchrt. Typische Symptome sind ungewollter Gewichtsverlust, Tachykardie, Hitzeempfindlichkeit und Zittern. Manche Patienten entwickeln zudem eine endokrine Orbitopathie mit hervortretenden Augen, Beschwerden und Sehst\u00f6rungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Der Nachweis von TRAK ist entscheidend f\u00fcr die Diagnose von Morbus Basedow, die Abgrenzung zu anderen Schilddr\u00fcsenerkrankungen und die \u00dcberwachung der Behandlungseffizienz. Als zentrales Merkmal der Krankheit ist TRAK zu einem unverzichtbaren Biomarker geworden.
