Medizym® anti-CCP Ref is the most sensitive Assay
M. Sefik Bukilica et al. for Institute of Rheumatology and Institute of Allergology and Immunology, UCC, Belgrade, Serbia showed in an independent comparison study that Medizym® anti-CCP Ref. had the best sensitivity.
The study was introduced at 7th international Congress of autoimmunity 2010 in Ljubljana and had the approach to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 4 commercial ELISA for the determination of antibodies against cyclic citrullinated proteins.
55 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and 27 healthy blood donors were analysed and revealed the following results:
- Medizym® anti-CCP Ref MEDIPAN with 80 %
- Anti-MCV Orgentec with 76 %
- Anti-CCP Euroimmun with 69 % and
- Aesulisa RA/CP-Detect Aesku.Diagnostics 62 % sensitivity.
All evaluated Assays had 100 % specificity.
