MEDIPAN was founded in 1992 close to the Berlin-Brandenburg-International Airport in Schönefeld. The goal of MEDIPAN is the development, manufacturing and distribution of radioactive and nonradioactive in vitro diagnostic tests, covering the fields of autoimmunity.
MEDIPAN is a continously growing company in the domestic and international diagnostic market. Today, our company is an accepted and innovative partner for laboratories and physicians worldwide.
MEDIPAN´s product panel provides a wide range of assays and is expanding continuously. Based on MEDIPAN´s experience and well established reputation in the field of thyroid diseases, our focus today is on the following areas:
- Thyroid disease
- Type 1 Diabetes
- Systemic rheumatic diseases
Most of the parameters available can be measured by different methods: Radio immunoassays employing magnetic beads, coated tubes or precipitation technique as well as state of the art ELISA kits.
By introducing the first fully automated system for the evaluation of cell-based immunofluorescence tests - the Aklides® system - MEDIPAN contributes to development of in-vitro diagnostics towards more objective and comparable results. In March 2010 the Aklides system received the Innovations-It Award which is provided by the Initiative Mittelstand under the auspices of the Fraunhofer-Verbund IUK Technologie.
As a latest development MEDIPAN provides new tests in the category of home testing. The first time it is possible to determine kidney function, liver function, urinary tract infection and diabetes by home testing.
